<description>We completely agree, Kate. Fortunately (for us and others who work in this area), leadership is increasingly open to exploring the value of innovative thinking to the bottom line. I&#039;m not so sure whether we are actually seeing a new, more evolved generation of leadership, so much as one that is reacting to the economic conditions, general business environment and consumer demands they face every day.

It&#039;s evident that we are in the midst of an era of continual reinvention - and will, more than likely, remain there permanently. Smart managers realize this. They may not know how to do it, but they know they have to in order to succeed.

Thanks so much for your comment!

		<description>John,
Nice post on innovative thinking. There is no doubt in my mind that companies and professionals who embrace full brain thinking (left/right) are more successful.

The challenge is that the leadership must have the courage to hold off the purely left brain thinkers driven my immediate $ results. I think the fight is truly between immediate gratification vs. greater potential.

For many left brain thinkers, the delay to reach something different or bigger is scary.

Thanks for this post.
